Let it go...
Let it go...
Today I will talk about something else than poetry and that is how we hurt ourselves.
We are having some wrong assumptions that people or situations hurt us. But the fact is that they actually do not it's us who hurt ourselves.
Situations and people come and go but it's us who hold on to the things that happened already. We decide to be in pain and not the situation or people. We should understand that the thing that affect us most is nothing else but the way we think and react to the situation or people who cause them. Our imagination and the expectations hurt us more than anything. We forget that the people and situation have no power without our reactions. I know you guys must be thinking that what about the attachments we have with people who cause us pain but all we have to know is what is meant for us will be there with us always. We cannot tell someone not to hurt us or not to leave us, it depends on the other person's perspective too. Sometimes it is not people that turn their back on us, it is the situation that made them do that. Maybe they are having their own bad condition and needed to take some decision that might have hurt you but as an individual everyone has a right to make their own decisions in their lives.
The situation that cause you pain just passes with the moment but we keep imagining things again and again and that is how we make it worse for ourselves. All we have to know is that everything that happens is meant to happen and we cannot do anything about it. All we have to do is accept what has happened and take a lesson from it and move on with life. If something very bad has happened to you then it is okay to grieve but make sure that you do not hurt yourself so much in the process that we forget that you are still blessed. We cannot ignore the things we already have just because we didn't get what we wanted. To achieve the things that we desire to have, we should first learn to value whatever we have at the moment as a present.
